The Fountain Hills High School dance department will perform its concert “Force, Power and Grace” at 7 p.m. in the Fountain Hills High School gymnasium on Thursday, Feb. 8, and Friday, Feb. 9.
The dance department works all term to learn new dances, new styles and prepare for a concert. Now that the high school is on a trimester schedule, the dance department is performing three concerts a year instead of two, and the students are still excelling under the new conditions.
“There’s definitely a shorter timeline,” dance teacher Gianna Wilson said. “Usually for two semesters, I feel like we spend such a long chunk of our class focusing on concert, where with the trimester, I’ve noticed it’s like, meet the classes, do a month or so of technique, and bam, dance concert’s here.”
