Fountain Hills Protect Our Youth Coalition will expand its youth prevention and leadership program to fifth-grade students with support from a 2026 Republic Services grant, according to a press release.
The funding will allow the coalition to extend its Above That: A Higher Standard for Healthy program, which currently serves Fountain Hills Middle School students.
Beginning this school year, fifth graders will participate in activities focused on healthy decision-making, resilience, communication, refusal skills and substance-use prevention.
