The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend the Town Council approve a special use permit (SUP) for a mixed-use development on Avenue of the Fountains just west of Verde River Drive.
The proposal is for a three-story building with commercial office/retail on the first floor fronting the Avenue of the Fountains. The top two floors are to have six residential units each for a total of 12 units. The density calculation is 43.5 units per acre, which is the factor that triggered the need for the SUP.
The structure is to include 10, two-vehicle tandem garages. Parking for the other units would be available in the common parking lot to the rear of the development.
