Fountain Hills P&Z review updates to zoning districts, ordinances

Creates better organization

The Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission discussed revisions to open space and single-residence zoning districts of the zoning ordinance during its meeting on Monday, Feb. 9.

No significant changes were proposed, but reorganzing chapters, creating a use category and table to better organize development standards and requirements were suggested and presented by Development Services Director John Wesley.

Under the “Use Cateorgies,” an easily digestible list of uses followed by a definition for uses that fit. Within the “Use Table,” designations for what is or is not permitted or requires a special use permit is listed.
