The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider a text amendment to the ordinance related to medical marijuana dispensaries operating in Fountain Hills when it meets Monday, Jan. 8.
The Phoenix law firm of Gammage & Burnham, PLC, has filed the application for the amendment on behalf of Phoenix Cannabis Co. which operates a dispensary in Fountain Hills. The applicant is asking for expanded hours of operation and to allow delivery service.
Currently the ordinance allows operating hours for dispensaries between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The request is to change that to 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Delivery of products from the dispensary is prohibited under the current ordinance.
