Fountain Hills saw heavy rain and a drop in weather, thanks to a cold front that swept across Arizona this week.
The Flood Control District of Maricopa County has eight rainfall monitoring stations across Fountain Hills that project potential flooding. There was no damage from this week’s rainfall, however.
The guage at the top of Cloudburst Wash near the Adero Canyon Trailhead collected 0.47 inches in the last 24 hours while Hesperus Wash near the northwest boundary of Fountain Hills and McDowell Mountain Park gathered 0.39 inches, according to the Maricopa County website.
