Two FH school board candidates to present

The Fountain Hills Republican Club (FHRC) will meet at the Fountain Hills Community Center Saturday, Aug. 17, at 9 a.m. when two Fountain Hills School Board candidates will present their cases as to why they should be chosen to represent the town’s folk of Fountain Hills on the School Board.

Candidates Rich Rutkowski and Kim Duckworth will be the keynote speakers at the August monthly meeting.

Other candidates will also have an opportunity to update the meeting’s attendees on their campaigns.

Fountain Hills Republicans and like-minded Independents are invited to arrive around 8:30 a.m. for a cup of coffee, some small eats and a chance to socialize with fellow attendees.

Although many of the state and local primaries have been decided recently at the polls, the results of some local elections will result in runoff elections in November, according to FHRC Spokesperson Chris Brant.

Annual club picnic

As an early alert, the FHRC Annual Picnic will be held at the Saguaro Ramada at Golden Eagle Park from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.

Registration details and where to sign up for this event will be included at a later date.
