The December meeting of the Fountain Hills Republican Club will be held on the second Saturday of December (not the third) because of the holiday season.
Although the meeting will officially begin at the usual time of 9 a.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Center, attendees are advised to arrive a little earlier than usual on Saturday, Dec 14.
This is due to the traditional holiday meeting which is always highlighted with a potluck breakfast where attendees are invited to bring with them a favorite family dish.

By arriving a little earlier, attendees will have time to help themselves to the dishes of food available and converse before the meeting starts.
While sitting down to a hearty breakfast, Fountain Hills Republicans and like-minded Independents will be rewarded with a presentation by State Superintendent of Public Education Tom Horne.
Attendees can look forward to an important update by the superintendent on issues relevant to the Department of Education both state-wise and also nationally, said club spokesperson Chris Brant.
One other reminder for those attending the Dec. 14 meeting is to bring a toy to drop into the United States Marines Toys-for-Tots boxes as this will be the last chance to donate a gift for a child before Christmas.
