Fountain Hills resident pens second NYT bestseller

Dr. Karen Becker promotes clean diet and environment for pets

When veterinarian Dr. Karen Shaw Becker wrote her #1 New York Times Bestseller in 2021 on the newest scientific studies on improving the healthspan of canines, “The Forever Dog,” her international pet-loving audience responded with a resounding need for a practical and healthy “how-to” manual for their pet’s health and longevity.

As the “cliff notes” to her first title, Becker and her co-author Rodney Habib recently released “The Forever Dog Life,” offering a step-by-step action plan to improve the life (lifestyle, microbiome, food and environment) of pets, compiling more than 120 whole-food recipes and tips on creating a safer, happier home.

While “The Forever Dog” was the “why,” Becker says her newest book is the “how,” offering pet lovers a few simple strategies to improving the lives of their pets.
