Fountain Hills school board begins Four Peaks sale discussion

Board discusses end of year and summer plans

The Fountain Hill Unified School District (FHUSD) Governing Board reinstated the Facilities Use Committee with a goal to move forward the sale of the former Four Peaks Elementary School property this summer.

The board also voted for member Richard Rutkowski to be a sitting member of the Facilities Use Committee. The committee meetings are open to the public, and all board members are allowed to attend. Rutkowski will be responsible for reporting on the committee’s progress.

“Right now, we’ve had a couple of our renters move out and move into new locations,” Superintendent Dr. Cain Jagodzinski said. “We have a couple that have stayed with us. For the most part, several of them I’ve spoken to are just playing it by ear right now, and just happy they have a place to stay for the time being, knowing that could change at any time. They’re all on a month-to-month lease at this time.”
