But for one Fountain Hills resident and school board member, the lasting images are a once-in-a-lifetime group experience that produced powerful memories.
Bernie Hoenle was a trumpet player in the University of Arizona marching band. The Pride of Arizona band traveled to perform at several high-profile sporting and other events in the mid-1960s, including halftime of a newly conceived AFL-NFL world championship pro football game in 1967 called the Super Bowl.
