Fountain Hills school board pushes back on immigration language

Board plans to reject ASBA agenda item

The Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board reviewed the Arizona School Boards Association’s proposed 2027 Political Agenda at their meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

The board directed its ASBA delegate, Lillian Acker, to represent the board’s position at the ASBA Delegate Assembly and vote against a section of the proposed agenda that addressed the trauma students face related to immigration.

The Arizona School Boards Association is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that represents and supports public school governing boards across Arizona.
