In just a matter of days – Dec. 12, to be precise – Bob Burns will retire.
And after 37 years of being Fountain Hills’ newsman, he’s more than earned that retirement.
I’m so proud of the work Bob has done and what he has meant to this community, and I’m happy for the adventures he goes on next. Hopefully the first “adventure” is for him to take a few weeks to relax and completely ignore the world around him. For 37 years his day-to-day life has revolved around reporting the news of this community, so I think he’s earned some time to hit the “mute” button on reality and spend days on end in his pajamas watching TV or catching up on reading.
