Fountain Hills: Sheriff's call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Jan. 18, through Wednesday, Jan. 24.

Thursday, Jan. 18

*Deputies stopped a driver on Shea Boulevard and Arista Lane for criminal speed, traveling 77 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The motorist was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop at Palisades and Fountain Hills boulevards for an expired registration. After conducting a records check, the deputy determined the driver was driving on a suspended license. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to Shea and Palisades boulevards where a rear end collision was reported. The crash resulted in minor injury (no one was transported to the hospital). The vehicle responsible for the collision fled the scene without exchanging information. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle that fled.

* A resident of the 16000 block of Segundo Drive reported a violation of a court order.

*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where a subject who was previously trespassed from a business entered the business and refused several requests by the management to leave. The subject was arrested and booked into jail for trespassing.

*A resident of the 11000 block of Woodpecker Bay reported that an unknown subject accessed money from their pre-paid debit card resulting in monetary loss.

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where a domestic violence assault was reported. Charges were submitted to the Fountain Hills town court for prosecution.

Friday, Jan. 19

*A resident of the 16000 block of Segundo Drive reported a violation of a court order.

*Deputies responded to Trevino and Burkemo drives where an illegal dumping incident was reported.

*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that a customer at a business became disorderly. The subject fled prior to deputies arriving without paying for consumed products. The business was unwilling to aid in prosecution.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains. It was reported that an unknown suspect opened an APS account in the victim’s name without their knowledge or permission.

*A resident reported that an unknown suspect broke into a vehicle and took multiple items while it was parked in the 11000 block of Desert Vista at Desert Vista Park.

*Deputies responded to the 15000 block of Mustang Drive where they served an order of protection to a subject.

*A resident of the 14000 block of El Pueblo Blvd. reported that an unknown subject entered their property without permission and cut down a Palo Verde tree resulting in monetary loss.

Saturday, Jan. 20

*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown vehicle struck the victim’s vehicle while it was parked on private property.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Parkview Ave. where it was reported a customer assaulted an employee of a business. The employee was unwilling to aid in prosecution.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. It was reported that an unknown suspect verbally accosted the caller in the parking lot of a business.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Kings Way where a domestic violence incident was reported. The suspect was booked into jail.

Monday, Jan. 22

*A resident of the 17000 block of Oro Grande Drive reported that their phone account was accessed without permission.

*Deputies received a report that an unknown subject took the victim’s wallet while they were shopping at a business in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains.

Tuesday, Jan. 23

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. The driver was stopped for speeding 68 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. A records check determined that the driver was driving on a suspended license. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. It was reported that an unknown suspect stole the victim’s purse from a shopping cart while she was loading items into a vehicle.

Wednesday, Jan. 24

*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Panorama Drive where it was reported that an unknown suspect took a package from a business resulting in monetary loss.

*Deputies booked a suspect into jail after they were found defacing by spraying graffiti at a private business and on public property in the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains.
