Fountain Hills sidewalk infill project ready to roll

Construction to start in May

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has mailed a notice to Fountain Hills residents outlining plans to start the sidewalk infill project in town beginning in May.

ADOT is managing the grant funded project in coordination with the Town of Fountain Hills. The work will take place in the central part of town. The objective is to improve the pedestrian routes along Palisades Boulevard between Saguaro and Fountain Hills boulevards, on Saguaro Boulevard between Fountain Hills Boulevard and Colony Drive and on El Lago Boulevard near Saguaro.

The work will include construction of new sidewalk and driveway crossings to improve pedestrian connectivity, replacing signs and road striping and adding retaining walls where slopes are near the street.
