The Fountain Hills High School softball team has been improving but are still winless on the season.
The No. 42 Falcons (0-9) have scored at least four runs in their past four games and had two players return from injury last week. Junior Shania Rivera relieved freshman Bella Peiro in the final inning against Wickenburg on Tuesday, April 2, and threw two strikeouts in her first appearance back on the mound.
“We’re measuring everything in the little things,” head coach Randy Bragg said. “Did we get better practice? Yes. We saw things today. We made plays, we caught some fly balls. We got a runner down over here, between third and home, we got the runner out.”
