Fountain Hills Elks Lodge provided a grant to support the Falcon Flight Crew, the high school’s student section initiative, on Sept. 22.
Fountain Hills student government teacher Austin Keating submitted the application, and sophomore Gianna Ivie’s design was chosen to be featured on black-and-white printed t-shirts with the town’s Elks Lodge logo for a school-wide blackout game. It was part of the 28th Amendment Civic Leadership initiative.
“To earn a shirt, students must write and submit a serious, structured proposal for a ‘28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution,’ merging school spirit with interactive civic engagement, Americanism, and student leadership,” a release says. “The shirt is designed as an educational reward for genuine civic thinking rather than a passive giveaway.”
