Fountain Hills students learns the value of kindness

McDowell Mountain learns the true meaning of respect and consideration

The Be Kind Crew makes school visits throughout the nation to remind kids to be kind people and, in early September, they paid a visit to students at McDowell Mountain Elementary School.

Part of the program was the “Be Kind Pledge,” which uses positive language to set expectations and teaches 10 fundamental kindness skills. Students can learn constructive responses to bullying, cyberbullying, civility, respect and success using the character education structure.

“We had the Be Kind organization come here before in 2019,” Superintendent Dr. Cain Jagodzinski said. “Their message is simple, be nice to people and kindness will take you far. I think it’s important for kids to know it’s cool to be nice to people.”
