Fountain Hills students travel to Dierdorf, Germany

Intriguing and fortunate journey for exchange students

Over the course of two weeks, students from Fountain Hills High School took part in a captivating and instructive journey to Europe. They visited several significant historical locations before arriving in Fountain Hills’ sister city of Dierdorf, Germany.

One of the fundamental values of the Sister Cities movement was demonstrated by their partaking in the history, education and citizen’s way of life in Europe. Teachers Luke Salzman and Chris Peterson of Fountain Hills High School accompanied the students on the trip to Deutschland.

“I think the program is special, because you get to involve high school students from all around the world,” Salzman said. “This is a great bonding and learning experience that only lasts for a couple of weeks.”
