Fountain Hills Theater is holding a three-week summer camp that will see kids ages eight and up learning to perform “Disney’s Aladdin Kids.”
The camp began on July 6 and will last until the July 24, according to FHT’s website. “Disney’s Aladdin Kids” will be a 30-minute show serving as an abridged version of the iconic 1992 Disney animated film. Every camper gets a role, and some campers are playing multiple roles.
Camp executive director Debby Rosenthal said the show’s relatively short runtime means that campers will have to be quick and efficient with every aspect of the production - be it changing costumes or getting props and different scenes ready. They’ll have to do most of the work on their own, as Rosenthal will be running sound during the show and won’t be backstage.
