Fountain Hills Theater hopes to make audiences smile with ‘Annie’

There’s always tomorrow

The Fountain Hills Theater is hoping to bring some joy and optimism to audiences this summer.

The theater will put on performances of the legendary musical “Annie” on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. from July 17 to Aug. 9 at the theater’s main stage, 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd., according to a press release.

The role of Annie will be played by 11-year-old Charlotte “ChaCha” Giffen. Giffen’s mother, Emma, is also in the production playing Grace Farrel. Giffen’s older sister, Evelyn, plays Pepper in this show as well, making this a family effort for the Giffens.
