Fountain Hills to design new Sierra Madre Park

Will neighbor new Toll Brothers development

The Fountain Hills Town Council was presented with a list of capital improvement projects during its work session on March 24. And while many were maintenance-related projects, a proposed new park is set for its design in Fiscal Year 2027.

Community Services Director Kevin Snipes highlighted design work for Sierra Madra Park, which will be just south to a lot acquired by Toll Brothers on Golden Eagle Boulevard between Aspen and Sierra Madre Drive. The park is estimated to cost $600,000, though $200,000 of that stems from Parks Development Fees.

Town Chief Financial Officer Paul Soldinger said bringing in a new park does have increased operational demands for staff and utilities.
