The Town of Fountain Hills and Republic Services are holding a household hazardous waste collection 8 a.m. – noon on Nov. 14 at the Fountain Hills High School parking lot, 16100 E. Palisades Blvd.
This event allows residents to safely dispose of various chemicals and items from around the house that should not be thrown out with regular trash.
Clean Harbors, who disposes the items, holds thousands of hazardous waste events every year, according to a press release.
Items that are accepted include drain cleaners, metal polish, pesticides, fertilizer, batteries and arts and crafts supplies.
