The town of Fountain Hills and Dementia Friendly Fountain Hills will host the third annual Dementia Caregiver Summit from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 7 at the Community Center.
The event dedicates a day to empower those who navigate the challenging journey of supporting friends and loved ones with dementia, according to a press release. There will be several guest speakers who will share their guidance on approaching and caring with more confidence and resilience.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, roughly 257,000 Arizonans currently care for a friend or family member with dementia.
More than 110 caregivers attended the 2025 summit, according to the release.
“This summit is a vital resource for caregivers who face significant challenges in navigating a dementia diagnosis,” said Fountain Hills Councilwoman Peggy McMahon, co-chair of the Fountain Hills Dementia Friendly Task Force. “I hope this opportunity truly changes lives for the better.”
