Fountain Hills Town Council approves plan to widen Shea Boulevard

Work to begin in 2026

The Fountain Hills Town Council has given the green light to a roughly $3.2 million project to widen Shea Boulevard through town.

The council voted 6-1 to approve the bid of $3,261,177.53 from DCS Contracting, described as the “lowest responsible bidder” of six bids received.

Vice Mayor Allen Skillicorn was the single dissenting vote.
