The Fountain Hills Town Council approved by a 5-1 vote at its April 21 meeting the rezoning of roughly 20 acres between Golden Eagle Boulevard and Aspen Drive to allow for a Toll Brothers development of 25 residential lots.
Councilmember Allen Skillicorn voted no while councilmember Hannah Larrabee was absent.
The council approved under conditions that homes be single story, a non-developable floodplain be established, lots limited to 25 and a sidewalk be constructed along the east side of Aspen Drive spanning the full length of the property frontage.
