Students honor Martin Luther King

Fountain Hills Mayor Ginny Dickey issued a proclamation at the Jan. 17, council meeting designating the week of Jan. 15, 2024, as Martin Luther King Jr. Week in Fountain Hills.

Along with that proclamation three students were recognized as winners for a Martin Luther King Poetry Contest Councilwoman Brenda Kalivianakis helped organize.

The winners include 15-year-old Fountain Hills High School Sophomore, Charles Splittorff; 11-year-old 6th grader, Vivian Koester Thomas; and 9-year-old 4th grader, Isaac E. Guerrero Reyes.
