Fountain Hills Town Council discusses downtown strategy

Director pitches a plan

Fountain Hills Economic Development Director Amanda Jacobs is asking the Town Council to consider a $50,000 budget transfer to allow her to update the downtown development strategy from the version approved in 2007.

Jacobs proposed an update consistent with current economic trends to be included in the Community Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) approved by the council earlier this fall.

“The year-long process will include key land use (objectives), infrastructure, economic considerations and public space needs for the area,” Jacobs said in her staff report.
