Fountain Hills Town Council hears fiscal updates

Revenue outpaced expenses last year

The Fountain Hills Town Council was able to give thanks after hearing the year end financial report for the 2022/2023 fiscal year that ended June 30.

Town Finance Director David Pock reported that General Fund revenue for the year exceeded budget expectations by $3.3 million. A representative of Heinfeld Meech & Co. also told the council his firm was able to provide an “unmodified” clean audit report for the year.

Pock said General Fund expenditures were below adopted budget amounts by a total of $9.5 million, which includes $4.2 million in savings from using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for public safety contracts. These funds were transferred to the Streets Fund in FY23.
