Fountain Hills Town Council hears MCSO report

Organized burglary ring across Valley

Law enforcement agencies across the Valley are working together to address what have become known as “dinnertime” burglaries based on the time they usually occur.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Capt. Larry Kratzer, commander for the District 7 substation in Fountain Hills,  updated the Town Council on efforts to address what is believed to be a foreign criminal enterprise.

Kratzer said to date Fountain Hills has not been targeted by the group, however, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and other East Valley locations have been hit. He stated that MCSO was involved in a situation near the first of the year where a burglary attempt was foiled in the East Valley. He said he was uncertain whether the suspects were held, because the burglary never actually took place.
