Fountain Hills Town Council leaning toward pavement management bond

Amount and timeline uncertain

A bond for road work may be on the horizon, after the Fountain Hills Town Council’s Sept. 8 work session. Councilmembers Hannah Larrabee and Allen Skillicorn were absent, though the rest of the council leaned in favor of another bond to tackle the estimated $30-40 million backlog.

Vice Mayor Gayle Earle said she joined the council firm on no bonds for roads, but information presented shifted her mindset.

“I would like to see that we do a bond that’s $20 million that would be taking care of all the backlog,” she said.
