OPINION – Fountain Hills residents, please email our mayor & town council at Mayorcouncil@fountainhillsaz.gov. Come to the Town Council meeting Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 5:30 p.m. and express your opinions.
These distractions from the dais have got to stop. Vice Mayor Skillicorn, Councilmember Hannah Larrabee and Gayle Earle seem to think the majority of us want our community to honor Charlie Kirk through naming or a statue. Please tell them no! Tell them to stop the division!
“The majority of the community is excited about honoring Charlie Kirk with a statue and the Charlie Kirk Freedom Center. The people have spoken and we will get this done,” Skillicorn said in an email to The Arizona Republic on Oct. 23. “Charlie Kirk was our generation’s Martin Luther King and Billy Graham.”
