The Fountain Hills Town Council unanimously approved an extension for continued work on the Golden Eagle Park drainage system during its meeting on Tuesday, April 7.
The approval allows spending of $165,817 for Phase II of the Golden Eagle Park Drainage Improvement Plan after the initial plan expired roughly two months ago.
“We allowed that to happen while we were in the process of submitting all the documentation…” Public Works Director Justin Weldy said. “We knew it was going to happen but we also had some checks and balances and some requirements we needed to be certain of.”
