The Fountain Hills Town Council voted unanimously for two fill waivers for proposed single-family homes during its Feb. 3 meeting.
The property owner at 16320 N. Borrego Trail requested a fill waiver for more than 10 feet for a new proposed home build. Town Development Services Director John Wesley said the overall slope of the property is roughly 13%, with a more significant slope over 25% near the south side.
Wesley detailed that areas of excess cut are located in the rear of the home and are only visible inside the property by the owners. An area of up to 14 feet of excess fill will be required for a section near the front of the property, though it faces empty properties, Wesley said.
