Fountain Hills Town Council planning for country’s 250th birthday

Votes to transfer funds toward celebration

Fountain Hills aims to lead state in celebrations for America’s birthday.

Fountain Hills will join in the national celebrations for Arimerica’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.

The town council unanimously voted to authorize the budget transfer of $60,000 from the General Fund Contingency to the Downtown Strategy Fund and GF Community Services Department for Fiscal Year 2026, as well as $40,000 in additional spending for FY2027.

The $60,000 will be split; $15,000 will be directed toward the Downtown Fund with $45,000 toward the General Fund.
