Fountain Hills Town Council restores call to the public with ‘guardrails’

Public comment open with restrictions

The Fountain Hills Town Council voted 5-2 to restore the call to the public 77 days after voting to remove the platform during a November 2025 meeting, but with changes to the guidelines.

Councilmembers Peggy McMahon and Brenda Kalivianakis were the dissenting votes due to said changes, and both voted against initially removing the public comment last year.

The vote was met with pleas from those on the dais and the public calling the changes overly restrictive and infringing upon constitutional rights.
