Fountain Hills town council is being asked to approve a grant application to the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) for assistance with sidewalk design for proposed improvements to Parkview Avenue and Verde River Drive.
The cost of the design project is roughly $100,000 with the MAG share 94.3% ($94,135), and the town share would be 5.7% ($5,690).
The council will also consider an ordinance amendment to the Town Code to address tree maintenance and care. It establishes consistent standards and responsibilities for care, maintenance and oversight of public trees located in town rights-of-way, medians and parks.
