Work session set for Tuesday, March 25

The Fountain Hills Town Council will meet for an extended work session Tuesday, March 25, to discuss the capital improvement budget proposed by staff members for the next fiscal year which begins July 1.

There are 20 project proposals between the Public Works and Community Services departments with an estimated total of about $11.7 million.

The most significant project on the list is $5 million or more for the reconstruction of Palomino Boulevard. This plan has been separated from the normal street improvements done each year, which are paid out of the Streets Fund. Staff has proposed including the Palomino work in the capital budget proposal with reimbursement from the Streets Fund over a number of years.
