The Fountain Hills High School track and field team set 12 new personal records (PR) at the largest meet in Arizona from Friday, March 22, to Saturday, March 23.
Most of the Falcons competed on Friday in the 84th Nike Chandler Rotary Invitational, but some competed in the “Elite” levels on Saturday. Senior Keian Evans placed eighth in the elite field in discus with a PR of 142’08”, and finished 13th in the elite field with a new PR in shotput (46’05”).
Senior Giada Lombardo tied for 14th and set a PR in pole vault (7’9”), and senior Eliana Bartman finished 43rd in discus (80’11”). Sophomore Nathan Melloy placed 54th with a new PR in discus (104’00”), and junior Katie Hampton set a new PR in discus (77’7”) and placed 46th.
