McMahon takes back thin lead in Fountain Hills

Passes Corrigan by four votes

This story was last updated Thursday, Nov. 14, at 12 p.m.

With a surge in vote counting for Fountain Hills on Wednesday, Nov. 13, incumbent Councilwoman Peggy McMahon retook the lead for the third and final council seat from Mathew Corrigan.

Corrigan’s 42 vote lead as of Tuesday evening vanished with Wednesday’s count as McMahon made up those votes and took the lead by four votes, likely leading to a recount of the race once all the votes are counted.
