Fountain Hills voting minority fighting an uphill, losing battle

OPINION — Sherri James’ recent letter piles on disrespect at most voters in Fountain Hills. A repeated mantra of meaningless words like “respect,” “decency” and “civility” the letter shows no evidence of embracing.

How is this letter demonstrating respectfulness, common decency or civility when it portrays most of the Fountain Hills voters as desiring contemptuous partisan politics or cronyism? Talk about unrelenting attacks “on candidates,” as the letter claims, without specific evidence, while using these very words to disparage the majority in Fountain Hills.

The town chose not to transition to a new mayor by a landslide. Kalivianakis was unable to garner more votes than DeGenarro, the Democrat, or Tate and Mirick, registered as no party declared. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know where they all align. This is particularly evidenced by campaign materials where it stated a donation will be shared equally.
