The first hotel established in Fountain Hills has recently changed hands from being a Comfort Inn to a Spark, a new upper economy brand under the Hilton umbrella.
The hotel, which was established in 1996, has undergone a total of three renovations, the most recent being 10 years ago. Today, owner and longtime hotelier Sam Trivedi is putting the finishing touches on a $1.5 million renovation, saying it was time to “step it up.”
“Hilton is one of the top three-tiered chains in the world,” Trivedi said. “This opportunity came in and I said, ‘Why not do a Hilton? It’s a better brand and better recognition worldwide with loyal members.’”
