Shawn Uphoff, the Fountain Hills Coalition’s current program manager, has made outstanding contributions over the last three years. She recently decided to hand over the reins to her colleague, Elizabeth Watters, who has served as the coalition’s social media manager. Uphoff, who has exhibited unwavering commitment to the coalition’s objective, will continue to work with the coalition on a part-time basis, utilizing her skills to enhance her dedication to reducing child substance misuse.
Watters officially started her work as program manager on Jan. 1, with her elevation revealed at the January sector meeting. She has been working with the coalition for the past year and has a long history of volunteering with them.
“Prior to joining the coalition, Elizabeth worked as a court administration supervisor at Maricopa County’s Intake, Transfer, and Release Center,” Uphoff said. “Her experience observing the effects of adult drug abuse and the rising incidence of fentanyl has motivated her to work for the coalition. Elizabeth understands the value of early drug prevention and keeping parents informed. Her dedication to this cause extends to her own four children, and she is determined to continue the coalition’s aim of raising awareness among Fountain Hills adolescents.”
