The long-awaited day came when Fountain Hills artist Brian Schader pulled a trailer carrying the steel structure for the Fountain of Light sculpture along the Avenue of the Fountains and stopped across from Town Hall on Aug. 7.

A short time later a crane lifted the steel onto a pedestal placed on the Avenue Plaza in front of Town Hall.

From there Schader began the delicate process of securing the steel and installing the heavy glass panels.
