The Town of Fountain Hills is making progress with improvements at Four Peaks Park.

Two sets of playground equipment have recently been installed in the corner off El Sobrante Ave., replacing the old equipment that has been located adjacent to the west side of the Four Peaks School building, now the EVIT campus in Fountain Hills.

Community Services Director Rachael Goodwin previously told the council that the old equipment was outdated and in poor condition. The relocation was desired to make the site more accessible to neighborhood residents.

Also, a new sidewalk will be constructed from the playgrounds to the bridge that crosses the wash to the north side restrooms and ramada in the park.

Work is being done to upgrade the ballfields at Four Peaks with a new infield mix installed on both fields and a program being implemented to improve the turf on the fields.

Additional parking will be available adjacent to the playgrounds.

There is currently no timetable for completion of the work and opening of the playgrounds.
