Four Peaks Rotary Club in Fountain Hills has a lot of service projects on the docket for their upcoming fall season.
The first two major service projects this fall are both centered around the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. On Sept. 5, club members will take part in a 9/11 memorial stair climb at the Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, and on Sept. 11, club members will revitalize a 9/11 memorial display in Fountain Park in Fountain Hills for the 25th anniversary.
“On Sept. 5, the stair climb will raise funds to benefit two different firefighters’ charities,” club member Beth Maschoff said. “And on Sept. 11 we are revitalizing a memorial that we put in Fountain Park five years ago for the 20th anniversary, so we’re refreshing it to honor the 25th anniversary.”
