With one month to raise funds for the Fourth of July festivities in Fountain Park, donations are far less than the $30,000 announced goal.
Organizer Phyliss Kern of Kern Entertainment LLC said donations are slowly coming in. As of last Friday, Kern said $13,000 has been collected.
The town and Kern Entertainment LLC have partnered to repeat the free family-friendly event, Fourth at the Fountain, from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4.

The town and Kern Entertainment LLC have partnered to repeat the free family-friendly event, Fourth at the Fountain, from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4.
The celebration will include 10 to 12 food trucks parked on Saguaro Boulevard, a children’s play area, recorded music and a fireworks display lasting between 20 and 25 minutes, said Kern.
The event will be free. Alcohol will not be served.
Sponsorships at various levels are available. All donations are payable to the Town of Fountain Hills Fireworks and can be mailed or dropped off at Kern’s office, 16742 E. Parkview Ave., unit 3, Fountain Hills, 85268. Kern said she will even pick up donations.
