In my years in public office I had to serve with whoever also got elected. Did I love them?
Hey, they did evil things. My opinion? No, but the opinion of the judges who sent several of them to prison.
In politics, one must deal with all sorts of people. I did my best, but not always well, to love the people with which I served and worked. Was I outspoken in my dislike of their conduct? Yup! I acquired many derogatory names and often was threatened with posterior kicking. (Those people were advised to get in line.)

I love politics. Do I love the anti-President Trump people? Well, yes, but I do not like much of what they say. I do hate, despise and abhor the destruction many of them do.
The shouting and disruptive behavior to block free speech is wrong. The shutting down college campuses to squelch differing opinions is wrong. The wanton smashing of windows and destruction of businesses is wrong.
I equate this action with Kristallnacht, the night of broken glass, and the brown shirts of the Nazis. It is not surprising that many of these rioters identify themselves as liberal socialist. As with the nefarious people with whom I served and were sent to prison, many of these people belong in jail.
Wow! Okay, so where is the love, Lar? One can love people in jail. One can visit them as I and several of my brothers do. What about the current crop of elected officials? If one likes politics, we have a wonderful free-for-all being played out, a Super Bowl chess game. My advice to all of you who are still somewhat sane is calm down, take deep breaths and pray.
