For Fountain Hills residents, a trip to the River of Time Museum can start at an unexpected place: right across the hall at the local library. Through the Culture Pass program, a library card can unlock free admission and open the door to local history.
Through a partnership with Act One, the River of Time Museum & Exploration Center is part of the statewide Culture Pass program, which allows visitors to check out free admission passes using a library card. The passes are available at participating libraries, including the Fountain Hills Library. Each pass provides general admission for two people and is valid for seven days. The program is offered through nearly 200 public and academic libraries statewide.
The process is designed to be simple. Visitors can stop by their local library, select a Culture Pass for the museum and receive a receipt that serves as their ticket. From there, they can bring the receipt to the museum and explore exhibits focused on the Lower Verde Valley, including Indigenous history, water resources and the people who shaped the region.
