Before there was a place called the Town of Fountain Hills, AZ, the people that lived here were willing to be here without any concern for their house values either going up or going down.
Now we have scared people, being scared about their house values supposedly going down because the town does not get its way of receiving $7 million per year in the new tax money; and that in perpetuity.
Simply an oversold scare tactic.

The town will still receive funds. Money to the town will still roll in like clockwork. However, the town council will be called upon to exercise its duty to do more with less, to be enterprising, to earn its way and no longer be wasteful sot spenders.
The associated costs to have a vote, now a total of three times, is about $150,000. That $150,000 could have been spent by using it as seed money to earn more. That is capitalism and should be how it is done.
What this new tax money represents is socialism, a free pass for the town council, a handout for those who cannot. Along with many others voting no, we are saying no to free passes.
Only a dynamic, entrepreneurial-spirited town council is acceptable in the future.
